Your best bet would be to find a retail version of Tiger (OS 10.4) on eBay or purchase a retail version of Leopard (OS 10.5) from Apple or any other authorized re-sellers.

It depends on how badly you want to continue playing second life :0) You could buy an external harddrive and install Tiger (or Leopard) on it and use it just for second life.
