I've been trying this for a while now to no avail. I have a concert (which I own, no worries there) on a dvd and would like to convert each song separately to mp3 format to then put on my ipod 3rd generation (not interested in video nor can I because of my ipod). VHS to Mac Update please

For getting analog video into your Mac, ElGato's stuff seems to be very popular, and the EyeTV 250 would probably suit your needs (and work as a TV tuner as well). As for getting video from a DVD onto your Mac, I use MacTheRipper and find it works 99% of the time. You can then use HandBrake to convert the DVD video to other formats.

Copy DVDs with Superdrive

Discs that don't have protection can be copied straight using Toast's Copy feature. If you're trying to squish a dual-layer DVD onto a single-layer disc, you'd be best first dragging the VIDEO_TS folder to your computer and using DVD2OneX to shrink it. Then copy then new VIDEO_TS folder into a DVD-ROM (UDF) document in Toast, and hit burn (making sure to have the same name as...
