If you are running OSX on your Mac you should be able to see your Mac Machine in your Network neighbourhood If you are running Mac OS9 or earlier than you may need to install a software such as PCMaclan on your PC NoteBook hope this helps

Can you give me more detailed informations about this solution? I was not referring to the type of socket, but the way to implement it... I should develop in C and in PHP, my iBook is not always with me... but I have a Linux notebook... this is the machine I should use in most of cases and then transfers all the programs to the iBook; it's not a great surprise finding...

A few corrections: MP3 was never free. This perception is largely due to the availability of MP3 encoders like LAME. LAME (and other encoders like it) are illegal. There have always been royalties and licensing for MP3 encoders/decoders. A german company, Fraunhoffer, developed the technology, and they receive licensing fees for it from legitimate encoder/decoder vendors....

At home it takes me 2 base stations (2nd airport, and linksys router) to cover my entire house (large house). We have 4 2.4 ghz phones in my house, 2 microwave ovens, and a wireless video camera. I have the origional generation Ti Powerbook (worst reception of any notebook), and I get good data rates anywhere in the house. At school, they have a campus wide wireless network...

Yup, me too. I touch-type plenty fast but in the dark even the screen isn't really bright enough (especially with fingers often blocking the light) for some things. Especially on a squished laptop notebook. (Still wishing they had added full-sized arrow keys! ;)) Another one of those things that you don't really see the value of until you use it or try and work without it....
