Yep -- iWeb is not a professional's tool... it's meant for making web pages easily and without having to fuss with behind-the-scenes stuff like code and php and the like. It's aimed at people who want good looking web pages, but don't know about coding. The only way you're going to be able to edit the iWeb HTML source is to export the web page(s), then edit the .html files...

Do have a healthy "fear" (or wariness at least) for the "rm" command (deletes files). One small typo with rm can delete _everything_. Having said that, the Unix shell is very interesting. You can read manual pages for the different commands by typing "man" followed by the name of the command, such as: man ls or man rm

You could try removing the VLC plugin. Just be sure to back it up in case you want to restore it.

Antonio: It's not one specific site, it's all sites with embedded quicktime or windows media-- pages I've been to multiple times before with no problem. These are usually personal html pages with pre-production test footage in various QT formats (I'm a cinematographer), but it also happens with random links I recieve to .wmv clips on sites like Kontraband, Ebaum's, etc....
