I have been using MSoft Money for about 4-5 years, and now run it within VPC. BUT, I would love to get a Mac OSX finance app for personal use. I have looked at Quicken - but they seem to be USA native only, in that it can't handle foreign currency accounts, and that you can't change a base currency either. So does anyone have any suggestions for an integrated finance...

YOU have to evaluate what your computing needs are. If you MUST play the latest 3D games, buy a PC, if you're willing to wait a little longer, get the Mac. If you need every single business application available, get a PC, if all you need is Micro$oft Office, Quicken, or InvestorRT (serious stock market stock trading program), then get the Mac. I use my mac to play...

Hi all, Strange new problem that I wondered if anyone had an idea about. All of a sudden, I'm getting a series of "the application unexpectedly quit" error messages. I'm using a G3/500 MHz iMac with 1 GB of RAM and OS 10.2.6. The only application that used to crash with any kind of regularity since I've gone to Jaguar has been MS Word. But in the past week or so, I've had...

In case anyone is interested. It took me 36 hours to complete, most of that (it seems) with my mac running at 100% CPU compiling and linking, but in the end it is as simple as: set up fink to include the unstable tree (details in the FAQ) and do: fink install gnucash It will fall over several times as it pulls in more than 169 packages that it needs to install but...

That may be true for some apps, but it doesn't always work as advertised. Mail, for instance, takes up the whole display even if I don't have any email showing. The maximize button on iTunes doesn't even maximize, they overloaded it to display the miniture controls (so I don't see anyway to do it unless I resize manually). In Quicken, the register doesn't work as you...

If I Force Quit while this is happening, the computer starts deleting info in open windows, such as in Word docs or Quicken registers. Pressing other keys do nothing to stop the madness. ...

I have to say "Quicken" and/or "QuickBooks"... but that's because I work for Intuit. :) Shhh... but I also use Excel... But I have to say I really am a huge fan of TurboTax... except for all of the super-hight-traffic issues I've been dealing with all weekend. Sorry if this "plug" was bad taste, but it seemed to be on topic... It seems to comply with the...

Maybe they believe the innacurate 'tests'/'results' - PROPAGANDA - instead of a more accurate accounting of the tests. The following came from a smalldog.com newsletter...... GATEWAY GAFFE Last week I mentioned the Gateway commercial comparing their flat panel machine to the iMac. Aside from the fact that they had to use animation to give their computer move anything...
