I just can't believe that. Apple couldn't even do that for OS 9 apps. Don't you think doing it with Windows apps would be a bazillion times harder?

733 Quicksilver 1.25 GB RAM, OSX Tiger Installed Pioneer DVR-105 This unit seems to not read DVD-R discs. It will burn just fine, and other machines can read the burned discs, but my Mac won't recognize DVD-R discs burned on it or any other machine. Any ideas?

My thoughts exactly! Your reasons for not switching to Tiger are almost identical to mine. Although ... I don't have to worry about the 200 bucks 'cause I just bought my computer about six weeks ago, so it shipped with a Tiger software CD, as do all new Apple computers now. :D I've had no problems whatsoever with Panther 10.3.9.
