My USB dancepad is recognized 100% of the time, but button press registering stops for a while. So it works for a while, but then doesn't (sometimes for weeks). Our Mac HelpMate software can do this, but there's also no reason you should become familiar with the command line. Running VNC over an SSH tunnel is a standard practice, but it is complex and 99% of end users can't accomplish that task. VPNs can certainly help, but it's a real trick to make it as simple as a single - click.

t on a fast network it's usually pretty usable. I haven't tried this myself, but as long as it's not using OpenGL or anything weird, it should be exportable to a remote X server, like on your desktop or whatever. ...
