I have never used Tri-Backup... The advantage of using a backup program like Retrospect is it allows you to make incremental backups, then you can say, backup something from 2 weeks ago, opposed to the version of the file you last updated, say yesterday. Yes, you could drag and drop, but you may also run into some issues of copying "active" files. Retrospect doesn't...
