Sherlock 3

This site seems to be semi-functional. The URL brings up a search panel, and putting "DNS" in there results in "Missing file: 'template.sherlock' was not found in '/Library/WebServer/Documents/tarling.info/dns/'" I'm not sure I'm willing to take DNS config advice from someone who can't even maintain a web page.

The closest I've been able to get with Safari is to copy-paste the text to be translated into Sherlock's Translate feature. Not nearly as good as what Firefox can do (I use Firefox on my work PC) but at leas the capability is there.

at least that is how Sherlock translated the English, happy new year. ...

Convert, I got my computer to sleep automatically. I changed so many settings that i am not sure what did it. I searched for "preventing powerbook from going to sleep" in sherlock and came up with this page http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=88066. i checked the settings talked about on the article and proceeded to wait for the computer to sleep. It did!!!!...

i dont think Susan is to replace BM. it is aqua that is at risk. System preferences, mail, searchlight etc all have Susan instead of aqua. it would be interesting to see screens of sherlock and text-edit to make sure aqua really is history.

Apple's guess probably was that people and developers would JUMP on Sherlock to extend and embrace it. ...

Sherlock is too slow and everything is about the USA, so I dont really have a use for it.

You can use Yellow Pages on Sherlock? Directly? I know how to search for it, and then visit the site in Safari, but is it possible to seearch yellow pages within Sherlock?

e, i set up a channel for searching this board just by going to the search page and hitting add. I wonder if you might be able to use this to replace some of the sherlock features you and other have mentioned here. ...
