Fonts act funny in Mac OS X

I'm currently running some research on Mac OS X and Fonts. I removed all fonts that resident in the user folder and in the library/fonts folder. yeah, I did the same thing with PB. it sucked because I would try to use the shortcuts from the applications menu 'Sherlock' or 'system prefs' and it would not be able to find them. Killing all animation
