Stickies and "sticking", so to speak...

Its not much help in fixing your problem but you are right, stickies should open again where they were placed when you last quit stickies, at least on my 'puter; I've just tested it to make sure! there's no preference for remembering their last location, it just does - or not in your case.

Apple & Adobe

...however Apple does tend to drive developers away. Take Adium as an example. It was the best little app one could imagine, a great AIM client. What does Apple do? They make iChat. What happens when I launch other AIM clients? Whenever I get incoming messages the client quits and iChat launches... I can't recall who originally made Stickies, but I remember a time when they...

Post your desktop!

If you mean the various coloured strips on the left, those are minimized Stickies. You can see the application in the dock next to System Prefs. I have the same sort of deal on my home machine, but they're hidden - the icon is trasnparent in the dock (next to safari). I should have hidden them on the work machine for the grab but never mind...

If vBulletin lets you do this, I propose you automatically send a PM to new members with all those stickies' instructions in it. I think Yahoo! Mail does this - you create an account, and automaticall receive a Yahoo! mail telling you you'll get kicked out if you use your address to spam.

Looking for a recommendation

What's wrong with OS X's Stickies? And also check out Konfabulator. Might have something cool.

Stickies service launches OS9 version

Find your OS X Stickies.app file (it may be missing the extension, but rest assured it still possesses it) and get info on it. Make sure that there is no option saying "Launch in Classic mode" (or something of the sort) checked. If this option is there and it's checked, uncheck it.
