No ideas? I'm rather surprised that no one has offered up a suggestion on this. I've since tried renaming the OS9 stickies program and moving it (haven't deleted it yet). The fact that moving it doesn't help makes me think it's somehow related to type/creator codes but I'm really in the dark here so that's a guess. Anyone have any good suggestions?

Well, I'm back to 7B21 on my desktop system. Everything is smooth as silk on my laptop. Installed fine. Got everything setup fine. Restarted. Everything seemed OK. After about two minutes I got a kernel panic. Restarted. After about two minutes got a kernel panic. Rebooted in "Safe Boot" mode. After about two minutes got a kernel panic. MS puts out dogs, and lots of them. However, I was downright appalled when I first installed OS10 on my new mac. It completely lacks just about any useful apps. Stickies is about it. ...

Safari: Great. Speedy. Tabs! AIM: Spiffy, especially with the "no-banner" hack Final Cut Pro 3: Frickin' awesome. A wonderful upgrade. The "offline rt" feature is priceless. iTunes 4: Musicalicious. I love AAC. iCal: Colorful. Makes organization almost fun.... almost Stickies: Best post-it notes, ever.

Little windows? I remember those stickies, but I'm sure you aren't talking about those. I did find by accident today, probably widely known already, but Apple+Click the name of a open window reveals it's path, a list of folders to the root of the partition. Even in safari goes to the root of a site.

I was moving away from putting anything in the dock but minimized windows...but now that I have high speed access it's nice to have safari, mail, and stickies (for the occasional note) in my dock. Most of my apps are still in TigerLaunch and folders are in A-dock

Here's what Apple (an unfortunate authority-by-default on this kinda thing) says... But keep in mind that the text in the Stickies icon says "Lou 555-7361," Eggs," and "Milk," and not "Stickies." So I guess if I'd change my greeked text to a more legible "Hey buddy how ya doin?" it'd be okay. But I'm not going to do that. :) - Brian
