hmmmm...seems snappier. classic launches faster now. what else is new or changed? post your observations to this thread. edit: i've noticed there's now more options in the contextual menus for the finder, mail and stickies.

OK, so barring that I have an interim solution. It sure could use some improving, so I'm all ears. I set up a cron event to copy the .stickiesdatabase to my idisk every 30 minutes. I could of course do this more often. I then wrote a script that on login mounts the idisk, copies the .stickiesdatabase from it to my ~/library and then launches stickies. This works, but...

and I remembered someone said that it had something to do with carbon apps being told to launch at login. So, I disabled apple stock dock, christmas wreath, and stickies from my login, rebooted, and now it's working perfectly! And this iMac is flying! ...

f a little classic notification box appearing to tell me that 'the Finder has unexpectedly quit', after which it apparently comes back. I can tell because I have Stickies as a startup app on the Classic partition, and if I had quit it, it starts again after this notification. ...
