Ok under Mac OS 8.x 9.x your stickies are held in your preference folder in your system folder, for the life of me I cannot see where the data files are kept in Mac OS X Does anyone have any ideas? Starbuck

The 22 MB that article quotes is counting the 18 translations that TextEdit supports. You've either used xslimmer or you've been sensible and chosen not to install the languages you do not need.

What's strange is that my TextEdit is already 2MB, not 22MB as that graph claims. My Stickies is also 1MB, not 9MB as the graph claims. ...

Or, rather, move the stickies database to desktop or somewhere else (so if it would not be corrupted, you would not lose everything)

To reset any program (if you haven't removed the Stickies application) by going to the folder /YourHardDrive/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preference/ and throw away the file com.apple.Stickies.plist . Also in your Library folder there might be a file named StickiesDatabase . You can throw this out too. This should reset Stickies, good luck.
