Stuffit 001

As a newbie to the Mac I have downloaded from the internet a series of multi-part files where the file names are filename.zip.001.1.bin, filename.zip.001.2.bin, filename.zip.001.3.bin etc through to filename.zip.001.60.bin. I know that the '001' refers to the fact that it is disk 1 of a series but I cannot work out which is the best program to decode and restore to original. ...

so i have .zip, .001, .002, .003 files. apparently its a movie that couldnt be uploaded in one piece. how do i unzip these files? when dragging the .zip to stuffit expander i get the error "does not appear to be compressed or encoded" i downloaded the program MacHacha, which combined the .001, .002, and .003 files together, forming one file. however, i still coulnt unzip...

i have a macbook and several .zip.001, .002, .003 etc files. each time i try to extract the image as a whole i get an error such as 17999 Unspecified Stuffit engine internal error all help is greatly appreciated

I had this problem last week with none ending in .rar, just trying to remember what i did. I know i used Stuffit 11, try unzipping just the one ending in .001 and lemme know how you get on. ...

Some files like that are .rar or .bin encoded, multi-part files. If you find the very first file in the list (extension of .000 or .001 or .rar or .bin or something) and drag that to StuffIt Expander, it may unpack into one, single file (or a folder of more recognizable files).

I've downloaded the 21 segments of the Xtools installer but I am unable to mount it. Whereas from 002 to 021 the files come with dmgpart as extension 001 comes with dmg. ...
