Stuffit

Whenever I start Stuffit, it bounces in the Dock for about a minute before it opens. I have turned off "check for updates at startup" and removed the plist files, but nothing seems to help. What's the matter with it?

Since then Stuffit is not working. It does not even launch ... ...

For some reason, i cant use stuffit expander on my new G5. I downloaded an FTP client and tried to install it, but the error pops up saying Stuffit Expander has all of a sudden quit and asks me to report the problem to apple. What can i do to fix this? ...
