i think he means for something the updates regularly like SuperDuper. Note: If you are coming over to OS X stay FAR away from discontinued products. IMHO all that company's products do nothing but give headaches to OS X users. Look for the alternatives please.

In case you do not like to spend $28, for SuperDuper, tryrdiff-backup . I guess it does not make the disk bootable, and there is no pretty GUI, but are they worth the $28 ? But yes, I feel also that DVD is not good for full backup. I tried that on my PC, but it was hard.

You would be better off doing this with an external Firewire drive and using SuperDuper to clone the entire drive, rather than DVD's. ...

So you are saying that the clean install that i did...didn't take? Or that the migration assistant migrated things over poorly? I guess i don't get how me, manually copying stuff over, as opposed to using the migration assistant, is going to change anything? I am still going to need to copy over the apps, app prefs, fonts, etc. I don't have all that stuff at hand to reinstall...

Follow these steps: 1. Launch the Program. 2. After Carbon copy Cloner (CCC) starts up, go the program's Preference file (by clicking on the "Carbon Copy Cloner words in the menu). 3.
