Guys! I used SuperDuper! to copy my Mac HD to the Seagate. However, when I go into System preferences and restart from the Seagate, I get nothing but a blank screen! Your help is much appreciated.

Carbon Copy Cloner & SuperDuper Both work very well at keeping backups. And as for what to backup, use either of these programs to back everything up. They'll even make the backup drive bootable incase the unspeakable should happen to your main drive.
