I am using a Macbook with Tiger and have boot camp (I think - I need to exit OSX to log in to Windows and vice versa). It is a work computer so I am wondering if it would be better to just wait until tomorrow to phone my companies IT Dept and see if they are able to fix it but am panicking a bit because typically I have not backed everything up. I assume that you are...

This depends. It is not possible to downgrade to an OS that is older than the one that shipped on your Mac. If your Mac shipped with Leopard, then you cannot downgrade to Tiger. If you have an Intel Mac that shipped with Tiger, then you must use your System Restore disc to downgrade your OS to Tiger.

did that. I'm thinking it's my fault. I tried to downgrade on the OS, given that, now when I start up I get the question mark for for a quick second and then the OS starts to load. Before it was taking a long time to load the OS, but now after deleting several Final Cut captures I'm sort of back to normal. I'm going to just reboot. I'm a little angry, but at least I learned...

I'm planning on buying a tera external, but it's not till a while from now, would it effect the my external if when I partition it, I install different OS's on it? I just want, thinking of spicing in Windows and Mac on one HD. I don't really need all the video, just simple things (practially DOS work in a sense). Main thing I need is for the internet to work and for me...

I agree totally now. I mean Leopard is fun and all, but it's mainly best used on the intel and not a reg. processor. Thank you for the help, unfortunately I never really used Time Machine until now. I'm doing a back up of things onto my external. Hopefully I'll be able to do something with all of it. All else fails I'm down grading immediately.
