Tiger

Is it only me who have problem with MSN Messenger in Tiger? I use both the official MSN and Mercury. Most problems is with Mercury, but also with normal MSN. I get loged out all the time. Socket connection error and so on.

I've got a 12" G4, 867. I installed the latest version of Tiger, 10.4.1...but now the flat panel monitor beside it, flickers on, but won't stay on. To make matters worse, I've deleted the display preference pane ( I thought it was the same thing thing as a .plist)...when I was rooting through Preferences...earlier Googling suggested I try that. OS Tiger 10.4. ...

On the restart of an installation of tiger (from 922) I get a "waiting for root device" on the startup. This has happened even on my 2nd drive after installation. Here is some background: firmware was updated prior to tiger install-428f1;G4 400 gig; both drives have been verified problem free; permissions have been verified and I have no pci cards or external devices connected...

I have a Tiger upgrade DVD that I'm trying to install on my iMac (lampshade model), when I run the install though it looks for 10.3 before I can continue, unfortunately I'm still running Jaguar. Does anyone know of way that I can get this to work? Thanks, Jamie

Tiger on a G4 iMac seems to have problems mounting external firewire drives. External firewire Maxtor and Seagate drives that mount on a G4 Powerbook will not mount on a G4 iMac. Any suggestions?
