Pioneer is the drive Apple uses. If your friend is using OS 9 or older systems, get the Pioneer 105/A05. If using OS X, get the 106/A06, Panther 107/A07. Just got a DVD+RW and put it in an external FW case - works fine for burning, but... When I try to erase a RW disk, it seems to take for ever and I end up force quitting because there's no light in my DVD+RW drive to suggest the drive is busy. With quick erase it tells me it's done but then says I cannot burn the disk, any one know what's going on here? Drive is Lite-On...

I don't think there is native support for multiple sessions with OS X alone, with Disc Burner. You have to use Toast or another burning utility. Toast Lite is really hard to find, so either get it from a friend or pony up for Toast Titanium. ...
