Newbie Question. Have ripped dvd films without any problems, with both HB and MTR. When trying to rip multi episode DVD's only one episode is copied. Is there something I need to change / select in the setting to ensure that the rip copies all the episodes from the DVD, or if they have to be ripped as individual episodes can I 'rebuild' the episodes onto a singel DVD...

Yep, sounds to me like the drive is toast. I would suggest just replacing the drive and restoring the photos from your backups.

Not true. Use XLR8YouMac's drive lasso tool to get compatibility reports on certain DVD burner models and certain Mac models. http://forums.xlr8yourmac.com/drivedb/search.drivedb.lasso Not every DVD drive will work flawlessly like the original drive -- there are some that are just plain unsupported/incompatible, some that are halfway-supported (ie, Toast will see and...

That's rotten luck for you, and you're right about the contradiction. This would be one of the first negative posts about Pioneer I've seen in a long while. OWC does point out that a later version of Toast will give better results (my interpretation), and I agree. Check too that you're using the latest media. Does your G4 meet the IDE port requirement or are you using the...

drive is only Natively supported under 10.5, contradicting their website. So I guess I wont be using this with IDVD anytime soon. Told me to upgrade my copy of toast as well, although I am not sold that is the reason. ...

That is pretty much the advice I gave them. If they don't do something about the power issues, they will just toast their repaired (or replaced) computers...

iMac 24", Intel, 2.8GHz, 500GB HD, Superdrive, 2GB RAM, this machine was set up yesterday, the 17th. Burning images on a CD is a simple task. I have been doing it for years. I just got this iMac and am retiring (selling?) my iMac 17" ppc G5. Fresh out of the carton, I have work to submit on a CD for one of my classes tomorrow. I fire up Toast Lite, drag and drop the files...

Hi, I'm looking for good instructions on how to replace a logic board. I was given a free G3 Pismo Powerbook. DOA and traced to dead internal battery. Successfully replaced and the unit is now alive except I have determined the video chip is toast. Everything works except display to all output types is shot - bad colour, vertical lines, huge cursor etc. Lots of logic...
