Your Mac OS X drive is not in the FAT32 format -- Mac OS X cannot reside on a FAT32-formatted volume. More than likely you meant HFS+ (Mac OS Extended ), right? Try a program called "iPartition", available from versiontracker.com. It may help you to reclaim your partition, although I would always suggest repartitioning/reformatting and reinstalling over using a partition...

You cannot resize partitions with the Mac OS X Install CD/DVD nor Disk Utility. You can use something like iPartition (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/23828) to resize partitions; however, I always recommend against resizing partitons, opting instead for a full backup, full reformat/repartition, and then full reinstall.
