You can use the program "Pacifist" (available from versiontracker.com) to extract the Safari application package from your original Mac OS X Install CDs/DVDs. Apple does not provide a download of Safari for Tiger.

Hi all thanks for your input. I was hoping that the Applications that come with Mac OS X, whether it requires 1,2,3 or more steps would be able to do this (as I am sure it is a rather common want). So the answer appears to be that DiskUtility, iMovie and iDVD cannot do this in any way, and that I must purchase something (shocking). Perhaps the Handbrake...

Not through HTTP, but through TCP/IP with VNC software. A simple search on versiontracker.com (for both Mac and PC) for "VNC" will get you what you need. Short and skinny: you need a VNC server running on the Mac, and a VNC client on the PC. Just install whatever programs suit your fancy that meet those requirements and away you go.
