Well there are two steps that you need to take 1) If your DVD drive has Region locked firmware (firmware which locks up after x-amount of times) you need to find firmware upgrades and upgrade your firmware to firmware which wont lock up your drive (I needed to do this to my G3) 2) You need to download RegionX which allows you to set the region you want unlimited timed :)...

but have never seen a proper answer. Does ANYONE know how to play .avi files on mac os X? ...

I downloaded some freeware beta stuff (under classic that is) that allows me to play MPG4 videos (I searched for divx n versiontracker), but the weird thing is that I see the video, however I get no sound :p What extensions do you use for divx stuff ? it would be nice to play em on my mac :) one more thing. will we be able to play MPG2 files ?
