Start with HP's newest drivers. If that doesn't please you, then give VueScan a try. It's $39.95 shareware available from Macupdate.com or Versiontracker.com. They update is almost weekly!

People have been complaining that Leopard's firewall is broken. Set it to allow all incoming messages, then download WaterRoof and use this freeware firewall that will let you configure the underlining BSD firewall much more specifically. If you are still on 10.4 then use AppDelete. however when the application dumps the files in the Trash, review them before you delete them. Sometimes the application grabs a little to much.
