It probably doesn't help if you google for "asselorator" ;) -> "accelerator" would be a better term. If you ever search for software for the Mac, you can enter search terms into www.versiontracker.com and www.macupdate.com search fields, and usually you'll find something useful.

First things first: stop using the Macintosh immediately. The longer you use it, the greater the chance that the recently deleted files will be overwritten with new data, making recovery nearly impossible. You might want to give Data Rescue II a try... it's not free ($100), but if it works and the data is valuable to you, it's a drop in the hat: ...

I just did a search on versiontracker for a couple of different key-remappers, but I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. I want to change it so when I hit ctrl, it will automatically function as ctrl-click on my iBook. Ctrl is only used when I want to right-click something anyways, so I figure why not try and remap it! Anyone know of an app that will...
