VNC

After reading the instructions at this website http://freesco.no-ip.org/VNC/ I tried connecting to the mac machine and nothing happens...no screen, no error messages. Yet, I am able to connect to it and see the desktop if I use the VNCThing software running on the iBook.... currently, the power mac is behind the linksys router. any advice of what I should do/check...
