OK scenario ... One set up a windows or Mac as a ftp server, This machine has no monitor or keyboard and is just sitting on a shelf remotely controlled through VNC. -- So upon checking the ftp directory after a few days, there is a directory with no name. RDC OS X from Windows?

I don't run it but my friend does... They have a mac and pc version that works with each other. If all you want is remote desktop, you can go with VNC, but if you want the file transfer stuff, Timbuktu is a nice addition to your software library.

VNC does work in OSX.. dunno what thats about... and I would use it but it performs much slower, doesn't handle resolution changing very well and doesnt have sound support.. its better than nothing but if I'm connecting to an XP machine RDC is far superior.. and regardless still would like to figure out why it works perfect on my ibook and not at all on my powermac... :)
