iTunes on your PC (if you have it) will convert your songs from wma > mp3 or AAC, depending on how the importing preferences are set within iTunes. Just drag them (I'd do say, 50 at a time, just to play it safe) onto the iTunes library window and a dialogue box will appear asking you if you want the .wma files converted. Then you'll be set to move them over to your Mac....

Thanks for the advice, BatCHmod looks good but when I go to search for the HD to change ownership permissions I still can't find it anywhere.. I lost that ages ago lol, though that could work so I'll look for it.

Your drive isn't working on your present Mac, because you changed permissions to 'no access', so now you have the results, 'no access'. OS 9 ignores that, so the drive works for you under OS 9. Someone more knowledgeable than I should respond with the method to get your permissions back. I would download BatCHmod, which should be an easy way to get your drive back....

Get the free OnyX. Don't use Disk Warrior unless you have serious errors in your directory block. It's not really good at general disk maintenance. Find OnyX for your system on www.versiontracker.com.
