X-Lite

I refuse to use Office (although I was forced to install it when my eployer bought it for me. I only use it for reading excel docs) So for typing school papers and stuff I use TextEdit. Just to clarify trevor's statement: You can't edit Perl scripts in TextEdit. You need to use something that will put Unix line endings (I can never remember which is which, so don't ask ;) ). If you don't have the cash for BBEdit, I recommend using mi instead of BBEdit Lite. It's just as free and, in my opinion, better.
