from Linux to Mac $DISPLAY

Hi macusers,

i want to connect from my linux workstation x86 to mac os x and have the dreamweaver display on Linux.

is this possible?

This would be possible if you had the Apple Remote Display client software for Linux. However, I don't know if such exists.

You can also use VNC the have both a client and server of OSX which is a free download. I use it export my Mac's display to the Windows XP laptop work gave me.

VNC is probably your best bet on this one.

I suggest using VNC4X it's a rather nice GUI wrapper for OSXvnc [ http://www.redstonesoftware.com/osxvnc/ ](which supports tight compression [or should]). It also has some nice boot up features that are otherwise a hassle to setup.

no there isnt a client for Linux


VNC is very slow

I want to work with Dreamveaver, Fireworks,.... on my Linux box. For this reason VNC is too slow....
